ACCESS CONTROL SYSTEMS
Access control is a proven cost-effective method of monitoring, restricting, or allowing access to your premises. These systems have proved to be a valuable asset for the management and control of the movement of people and goods.
Systems can be as simple as a stand-alone single door, or a fully networked PC based system over a local area network.
Access control systems are most commonly used in:-
There are multiple possibilities to choose from for the method of entry:-
Depending upon the security level of an area, a combination of access types may be used, for example a door would only open when a token is presented to a reader, followed by a code being entered into a keypad, thereby providing a higher level of security. Additional features can be integrated into a system, for example, roll call, where a list of names is printed when the fire alarm is activated, or time and attendance.
Our systems, operating on a single or fully networked basis, can control single or multiple entrance points. They can allow movement in specific zones, controlling, monitoring and recording any event.
Each system is individually tailored to the customer's requirements with the aim of providing a flexible, powerful tool to control and monitor access.

We are proud to be registered installers of Paxton access control equipment and frequently install the following types of systems:
Paxton Net2
Net2 offers the key requirements of a PC based access control system.

The software gives you full control over the system from your desk. Any instructions given to the software are immediately updated at all the doors. Adding users, barring users and changing users' access permissions are all done from the PC quickly and easily.
If there are several buildings on one site, access to all of them can still be controlled from one location. Net2 will control many buildings in different locations using TCP/IP across the existing network.
Access permissions may be set individually or by department. This makes setting up different permissions for different groups of people quick and straighforward. Some areas may be restricted to only a certain group of users. Shift patterns may be set for departments, and those permissions are allocated instantly when a new user card is issued.
An events screen allows viewing of 'real time' events as they are happening, enabling the controller to monitor, for example, who is where in a building or which doors are open, and if necessary create reports from the software.
Net2 can be loaded onto one or many PCs. Different administrative rights may be allocated to different users. Up to five PCs on a network can administer the system simultaneously.

Progeny P3
The P3 access control panel is designed with the flexibility to be programmed both stand alone and from a PC. The front panel keypad gives access to all the user and engineering menu functions. The means a controller can be installed and operational even before the network and PC are available.
In addition, apart from some server based features, there is no dependence on any central hardware for operation. If the network cable is out or the controlling PC is not available, all the controllers will continue to function.
